Shirley M. Brugere, née Kaiser, 93, of Belleville, IL, born July 30, 1921 in New Athens, IL, died Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. Mrs. Brugere had worked as a shoe factory worker in New Athens and Belleville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril W. Brugere, who she married in 1939 and who died in 1971, her parents; Henry and Esther (Jones) Kaiser, 1 son; Wayne Brugere and 1 daughter; Barbara Ann Brugere; and her brother; Orval Kaiser.

Shirley is survived by her daughter; Karen Bruno of Belleville, IL, 1 daughter-in-law Barbara Brugere of Star, Miss., 6 grandchildren; Frankie (Michael) Musgrove, John Wayne Brugere, Vicki Claro, Doug (Tamara) Muench, Brenda Gallaher and Crystal (Mark) Mabra, 9 great grandchildren; Josh and Ryan Muench, Larry (Paige) Claro, Jr., Breanna Williams, Jacob, Caleb and Hannah Gallaher, Kaitlyn and Ellie Mabra, 9 great-great grandchildren; Michael Walker, Brandon, Collin and Cannon Muench, Haylee and Meadow Williams and Brooke, Morgan and Bryce Musgrove; special niece Benita Barbiere, 2 other nieces and 1 nephew; great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on January 10, 2015 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 12 p.m. on January 10, 2015 at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL Interment will be at Oakridge Cemetery in New Athens, IL.
