MILES

Robert "Bob" L. Miles, 75, of Marissa, IL; born on January 29, 1943 in East St. Louis, IL; passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O'Fallon, IL.

Mr. Miles was a painter. He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW. Bob enjoyed working in his woodshop making various things, remodeling his home, as well as fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Edward and Edna, nee Hamm, Miles. Five brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife – Carol, nee Quathamer, Miles whom he married on January 12, 1994 in Belleville, IL. His children – Katrina (Dwaine) Hoffman of New Athens, IL; Jessica (Michael) Moore of Marissa, IL; Marcie (Brandon) Folsom of Woodlawn, IL; Eric (Ashley) Skaggs of Newport, NC. Seven grandchildren – Trevor Eggemeyer; Trey Eggemeyer; Jade Skaggs; Autumn Richards; Daxton Fulsom; Braeden Skaggs; Jaxson Skaggs. One great-grandson – Sebastian Eggemeyer. Two brothers – Jim Miles; Bill Miles. One sister – Shirley Robinson.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 9:00am to 10:00am.

Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 10:00am with Pastor Paul Hahn officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held in the Tilden Cemetery in Tilden, IL.
