Randall William Heil, 62, of Marissa, IL; born on September 7, 1952 in Red Bud, IL; passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Heil was a funeral director and a former owner of Heil-Schuessler Funeral Homes. Randy served his community for over 40 years. He was a member of the Marissa Presbyterian Church. He was the chairman of the board of directors of the Kaskaskia Water District. He was a member of the National Funeral Directors Association, Illinois Funeral Directors Association and Past President of the St. Clair County Funeral Directors Association. He was a past president and secretary of the Marissa Lions Club. He was a member of the Marissa Masonic Lodge #881 and the Ainad Shrine Temple and a lifelong member of the Marissa Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Imogene, nee Sinn, Heil. His mother-in-law – Loretta, nee Joseph, Dohrman

He is survived by his loving wife Diane, nee Dohrman, Heil whom he married on October 20, 1973 at Zion United Church of Christ in Millstadt, IL. His children Vance (Kelsey) Heil of Marissa, IL; Valerie (Bryan Pritchett) Heil of Freeburg, IL. One sister – Mary Ann (Bill) Clubb of Belleville, IL. His father-in-law – Raymond Dohrman of Millstadt, IL. His brothers-in-law – Donald (Diana) Dohrman of Millstadt, IL; Dale (Donna) Dohrman of Millstadt, IL. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Marissa Fire Department.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in Marissa, IL on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 with Rev. Dr. Robert Koch and Rev. Dr. Donald Wagner officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held at the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.
