Orville William Vogler, 93, of Red Bud, IL; born on August 3, 1924 in Red Bud, IL; passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.

Mr. Vogler was a farmer. For many years he was also a farm and lawn implement dealer. He was a member of the Broad Hollow Grange, the New Athens Lions Club and the Monroe County Farm Bureau.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Henry and Elsie, nee Koenigstein, Vogler. His first wife Mildred, nee Behm, Vogler whom he married on April 3, 1948 and who passed away on February 8, 1993. His second wife – Doretta, nee Keil, Rausch-Vogler whom he married on May 4, 1996 and who passed away on April 5, 2012.

He is survived by his children – Diane (Larry) Keil of Taylorville, IL; David (Cindy) Vogler of New Athens, IL. His grandchildren – Michelle (Michael) Covey; Denise (Jason) Tex; Scot (Carrie) Vogler; Kimberly (Patrick) Richards. His great-grandchildren – Brandt Covey; Brooke Covey; Kyle Tex; Jackson Tex; Morgan Vogler; Brayden Vogler.

Memorials may be made to the New Athens FFA or the New Athens Lions Club.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m..

Funeral: Services will be held at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Robert Koch officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held in Oakridge Cemetery in New Athens, IL.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.
