Marvin George Glaus, 73, of Belleville, IL; born on March 23, 1944 in Belleville, IL; passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Mr. Glaus was a computer technician for National Cash Register for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Belleville, IL. He served in the United States Army Reserve. Marvin was very skilled in computer technology and was also very handy. He could fix anything and had a tool for anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Martin and Marie, nee Schoenherr, Glaus. One sister – Ruth Parker. One brother in infancy – James Glaus.

He is survived by his daughter – Jennifer (Michael) Manno of O'Fallon, IL. One brother – Ralph (Helen) Glaus of New Athens, IL. Two sisters – Marilyn (Mike) Smithson of New Athens, IL; Elaine Steingrubey of Waterloo, IL. Brother-in-law – Loraine Parker of New Athens, IL. His godchildren – David Parker; Brandi Hodges-Paul; Jeanne Wattler. Very dear friends – Gary and Linda Lee-Hodges and their family. Also survived by nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Visitation: Friends may call at Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (A prayer service will be held on Sunday at 4:00 p.m.) and on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agatha Catholic Church in New Athens, IL on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Mark Reyling officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held in St. Agatha Catholic Cemetery in New Athens, IL.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens, IL is in charge of arrangements.
