Larry Lee Ramsey, 68, of Shiloh, IL; formerly of Marissa, IL; born on November 2, 1947 in Marissa, IL; passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at John Cochran Veterans Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Ramsey was a demolition expert who specialized in deconstructing large and industrial buildings, although his first love was farming. He was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was associated with the First United Methodist Church of Marissa. Larry was an avid NASCAR and St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Rosel and Catherine, nee Voytas, Ramsey. One nephew – David Little. Two great nephews – Nick Kraus and Justin Little.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters – John Ramsey of Orland Park, IL; Eileen Little of Marissa, IL; Ray Ramsey of Sparta, IL; Dorothy Kraus of Shiloh, IL. His favorite uncle – August Voytas of Coulterville, IL. His aunt – Lucille Voytas of Paducah, KY. Nieces and nephews – Cindi Handley; Doug Little; Lori Adair; Russell Little; Amy Reese; Angie Ramsey; Ronnie Ramsey; Randy Ramsey; Donna Luebbers; Rod Kraus; Guy Kraus. Also survived by his companion – Paulette Birkner. Cousins, great nieces and nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Marissa Senior Center.
