Lana S. Keil, 60, of New Athens, IL, born February 10, 1955 in Red Bud, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the New Athens Home for the Aged in New Athens. Lana had a variety of jobs including working as a nurse's aide, a cook and carnival amusement worker and was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens. She loved fishing and camping and was a wonderful cook and baker who also enjoyed crocheting.

Lana was preceded in death by her parents; Melvin and Maelene, nee Schoepp, Keil and her sister Lynette Kosarek.

She is survived by her son; Jason (Raquel) Keil of Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren Malia and Melvin Keil, 1 brother Larry (Diane) Keil of Taylorville, IL 1 brother-in-law, Jim Kosarek of New Athens and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to C.E.S.N.A.

Visitation: Friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens, IL

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens with Rev. Dr. Robert Koch officiating.

Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home in New Athens is in charge of arrangements.
