John Henry Frisch, 74, of Marissa, IL; born on March 26, 1940 in New Athens, IL; passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at his home with his family by his side.

Mr. Frisch was a bricklayer. He was a 50 year member of the Bricklayer Union Local 8. He was a former member of the Marissa Lions Club. John was an avid gardener and loved fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Henry and Catherine, nee Nast, Frisch. Two brothers – William Frisch; Sylvester Frisch. Two sisters – Gladys Frisch; Alice Frisch.

He is survived by his loving wife Elaine, nee Mines, Frisch whom he married on February 17, 1979. His daughters – Julie (David) Trout; Johnna (Brent) Huggins; Virginia (John) Wilson; Michelle (Harold) Willard; Kelli (Andrew) Canning. One brother – Robert Frisch. Four sisters – Leona (Walter) McGlamery; Dorothy (Vic) Sandheinrich; Cecilia (Clarence) Thompson; Kathleen (John) Bell. Also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Marissa Presbyterian Church.

Visitation: Friends may call at the Marissa Presbyterian Church in Marissa, IL on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at the Marissa Presbyterian Church in Marissa, IL on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:00am with Rev. James Ryan officiating.

Interment: Burial will be held in the Marissa Township Cemetery in Marissa, IL.
