Bernice T. "Bea" Huber, nee Schoepp, 98, of New Athens, IL, born January 17, 1919 in New Athens, IL, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at the New Athens Home for the Aged in New Athens. Bernice, along with her late husband Edmund, owned and operated Huber Heating and Cooling and Wallpaper and Paints in New Athens for 43 years. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens, the church Women's Guild and Past President and honorary member of the New Athens Women's Club.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Edmund W. Huber, whom she married on March 24, 1940 in New Athens and who passed away on October 28, 1998, her father George Schoepp in 1963, her mother; Flora, nee Wahl, Schoepp in 1973 and her brother; Harry Schoepp who had resided in St. Louis at the time of his death on May 6, 2005.

Bea is survived by her son Terry Lee (Janine) Huber of Little River, SC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Athens Home for the Aged.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at St. John United Church of Christ in New Athens with Rev. Dr. Robert Koch officiating. Following the services, she will be laid to rest next to her husband in Oakridge Cemetery in New Athens.
