Condolence & Memory Journal

We are so sorry for your loss. Like others I have a lot of fun memories with Duck. But the one I love the best is how she loved that I was marrying someone from Tilden. Enjoy all the good memories you have Prayers to all the family. Jay and Bette Poston

Norm, Robbie, and Families, I want you to know that Jeri and I are sorry for your loss. She could always lighten up a room when she walked in. She was a special lady, and she will never be forgotten. Thank you, Duck!

You were the best grandma any boy could ever want. I love you grandma. I hope your eternal life is as full as the life you lived here.

Candle

I have MANY, but here are two: (1.) When I left Annual Conference in 1973 to come to Marisa-Zion as my first appointment, Duck's sister Elizabeth Walkington, wife of retired pastor L. B. Walkington said to me, "My sister is in your Church. I hope you'll love my sister." Well, I certainly did. (2.) Liz Bluff Reynolds and I got married in September of 1974, and Cade Wentz and Carol Spier Wentz got married in April 1974. Several of us went on a chivalry to Cade and Carol's. Liz stayed home. Duck had me call Liz to ask her to "come on down." She wouldn't and told both Duck and me, "I'm too tired." Duck gave her this advice, "Honey, then drink a warm glass of milk and go to bed." LOL!!!! First UMC of Marissa is still ONE OF MY FAVORITE CHURCHES, and Duck, who also served as our LAY LEADER, was one of the reasons why this is so still today.--The Rev. R. David, "Pastor Dave," Reynolds, Pastor Marissa-Zion, 1973-1978 <3><3><3>

We are so sorry for your loss. Duck was a special friend of the Werner family. She and my brother shared a birthday and for many years exchanged a call and card on that date. My mother was playing golf with her when she made that hole in one. I was comforted many times when mother went to nursing home with cards and calls. She was an amazing lady who brought love and laughter to so many. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

We are so sorry for your loss. We will truly miss her. She was an amazing person and had such great humor. The boys said they will miss Grandama Duck very much. We are here waving our napkins saying our farewells to her.
